I started reading this book on Monday and it was so intriguing I could not stop reading! It is full of interesting characters, mystery, love, passion and compassion! I never stopped reading until I finished! I hope the author keeps gracing us with more books like Sakhalin, it was excellent and exciting!

Bailey proves to be a talented storyteller with Sakhalin. The book is well-crafted, with detailed descriptions creating vivid settings for the multi-dimensional characters entangled with espionage in the Russian underworld. I was engrossed in the lives of each of the characters, as their motivations and backgrounds unfolded. The story is suspenseful and intriguing, and the twists and turns make the book difficult to put down. I highly recommend this captivating and exciting read!

Graham E.E. Bailey’s exciting debut novel weaves together an incredible story of the Russian underground with a touching story of a woman’s journey navigating the Russian adoption process. Bailey not only creates believably fallible characters, she also vividly portrays the frigid landscape of Sakhalin.
I highly recommend this intriguing book, it most definitely will be my next book club choice.

This book was hard to put down! Great characters and detail in the story. Easy to follow, and I was engrossed in the storyline. Some twists and turns kept it very interesting. I’ve never read a book so quickly!

Loved this booked from the first to last page. A plot with twists, characters you root for and others you despise, and a setting that is described in such amazing detail that you’d think you’ve been there by the end of the book. Wonderfully written, cannot wait to read more by Graham Bailey
